Building Strong Security Habits
Security awareness training works best when people feel invested – but keeping participation high is a challenge. Employees are busy, deadlines stack up, and even when they complete training or report phishing attempts, their efforts often go unseen.
Adaptive Security's new leaderboards solve this by giving admins a simple, structured way to highlight real security actions. A company-wide points system recognizes completions and reports, then ranks employees based on their contributions.
Leaderboards give clear feedback, visible progress, and shared goals – the fundamentals of building strong security habits.
How Team Members Earn Points
Employees earn points when they:
- Complete assigned security awareness training (plus bonus points if they complete it soon after it’s assigned)
- Report phishing simulations
- Report real phishing attacks that are verified by Adaptive Triage
These points determine their ranking on the Leaderboard, which is only visible to learners if admins choose to enable it.
Controls for Every Company
Admins can tailor the experience to fit their organization:
- Keep the Leaderboard private or make it visible to learners
- Show full rankings or anonymize everyone except the viewer
- Add messages about internal rewards or competitions
- Filter results by department, division, manager, location, or date range
- Aggregate scores by division, department, manager, or location.
Clear Visibility for Learners
In the Learner App, employees see their rank, total points, and a simple outline of how to earn more. They also get in-app notifications each time they complete a training or report a phishing event.

Leaderboards bring attention to real security actions. They help build steady participation, reinforce good habits, and create a culture where reporting phishing attempts and completing training becomes routine.
